Australia Exports Tumble in October
Exports from Australia slumped 5 percent month-over-month to AUD 40.75 billion in October 2019. Sales of non-rural goods shrank 6 percent to AUD 25.91 billion, mainly due to metal ores and minerals (-11 percent), other mineral fuels (-6 percent), coal, coke and briquettes (-5 percent), and metals (-14 percent). Also, exports of non-monetary gold tumbled 25 percent to AUD 2.03 billion. In contrast, shipments of rural goods grew 3 percent to AUD 4.14 billion, led by meat and meat preparations (4 percent) and cereal grains and ceral preparations (5 percent). In addition, net exports of goods under merchanting jumped 93 percent to AUD 29 million, and sales of services rose 1 percent to AUD 8.65 billion, mostly driven by travel (1 percent).

Australia Exports Hit Record High
Exports from Australia rose 3 percent from a month earlier to an all-time high of AUD 43.22 billion in September 2019. Sales of non-rural goods advanced 2 percent to AUD 27.92 billion, mainly boosted by metals (14 percent), metal ores and minerals (3 percent) and other mineral fuels (8 percent), while declines were seen in coal, coke and briquettes (-6 percent) and other manufactures (-1 percent). Also, exports of non-monetary gold surged 26 percent to AUD 2.69 billion, and shipments of rural goods went up 6 percent to AUD 3.98 billion, led by meat and meat preparations (2 percent) and other rural (6 percent). In addition, sales of services grew 1 percent to AUD 8.61 billion, mostly driven by travel (1 percent) and other services (1 percent).

Australia Exports Fall 3% MoM in August
Exports from Australia dropped by 3 percent month-over-month to AUD 40.98 billion in August 2019. Sales of non-rural goods contracted 4 percent to AUD 26.61 billion, mainly dragged down by metal ores and minerals (-10%) and coal, coke and briquettes (-4%). Also, exports of non-monetary gold tumbled 22 percent to AUD 2.14 billion. In contrast, shipments of rural goods rose 1 percent to AUD 3.78 billion, led by meat and meat preparations (5%) and other rural (3%). In addition, sales of net exports of goods under merchanting went jumped 25 percent to AUD 15 million. Sales of services grew by 1 percent to AUD 8.45 billion, mostly driven by travel (1%) and other services (1%).

Australia Exports Hit Fresh Record High in July
Exports from Australia advanced 1 percent month-over-month to a new record high of AUD 42.54 billion in July 2019. Sales of non-monetary gold jumped 66 percent to AUD 1.09 billion. Additionally, exports of services rose AUD 38 million to AUD 8.38 billlion, in particular other services (2 percent). In contrast, sales of non-rural goods fell by 3 percent to AUD 27.65 billion, led by coal, coke and briquettes (-9 percent) and metals excluding non-monetary gold (-32 percent). Also, exports of rural goods shrank 1 percent to AUD 3.76 billion, mainly due to other rural (-7 percent). In addition, net exports of goods under merchanting slumped 33 percent to AUD 12 million.

Australia Exports Hit New Record
Exports from Australia increased 1 percent from the previous month to an all-time high of AUD 42.38 billion in June 2019. Sales of non-rural goods rose 3 percent to AUD 28.53 billion, driven by metal ores and minerals (5 percent), coal, coke and briquettes (4 percent), other manufactures (6 percent), and metals excluding non-monetary gold (21 percent). Conversely, sales of rural goods fell 4 percent to AUD 3.82 billion, led by cereal grains and cereal preparations (-36 percent) and wool and sheepskins (-19 percent). Also, sales of non-monetary gold declined 2 percent to AUD 1.65 billion. Meanwhile, exports of services were flat at AUD 8.35 billion.

Australia Exports Hit Fresh Record High in May
Exports from Australia rose by 4 percent month-over-month to an all time high of AUD 41.59 billion in May 2019. Sales of non-rural goods grew by 5 percent to AUD 27.51 billion, driven by metal ores and minerals (13 percent), and coal, coke and briquettes (3 percent). Also, sales of rural goods rose 1 percent to AUD 4.08 billion, led by other rural (6 percent), and cereal grains and cereal preparations (17 percent). In addition, sales of non-monetary gold expanded 1 percent to AUD 1.69 billion and exports of services went up 1 percent to AUD 8.30 billion, boosted by travel (1 percent). In contrast, net exports of goods under merchanting fell 5 percent to AUD 18 million.
